With the events of the beginning of the school year under our belt, it is time to start some serious work. Most procedures and expectations have been taught and reviewed in entirety with a few exceptions for certain academic tasks. Without a doubt, this group of fifth graders is definitely ready to learn!
Parents and students, look into the featured links to make sure you understand what is going on inside of the class. As a sense of normalcy becomes more deeply engrained, I rely on students a lot more to just know what to do if they are having difficulties in class:
Keep up the lines of communication parents! I am very impressed by the contact I have received from so many of you already! Your enthusiasm and commitment to your students is inspiring to me!

- Asking questions during instruction times and throughout the school day is always the best option if you are struggling.
- Starting this week we will have after-school study hall sessions from 3:00-3:35 in my room on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This is not a daycare or a "hangout" time. I take this time seriously for students that need my assistance. It can also be just a quiet room to do your work in after school if that is all you need too. Parents and students please make arrangements for pickups if your student intends on staying after school.
- For those of you with a sense of independence I have updated our current links to include the standards, goals, and resources that you can access for better understanding and practice. Remember though, if you see it on this website, then I have taught it in class. Your first priority is to listen to instruction and not rely solely on the supplementary aides I have provided.
